Browser issues

Always use the latest version
Each new version of a browser fixes security problems discovered in the previous version. Therefore it is important to always keep your browser up to date to make sure you have the best possible protection.

Browser requirements
To be able to use the WebConnect service of Xantic your browser must support the following features:

  • Frames
  • JavaScript
  • File upload

Browsers that meet these requirements are e.g. MS Internet Explorer 3.02 or higher and Netscape Navigator 3.0 or higher.

Known browser limitations

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5

Microsoft has provided a Service Pack which eliminates your receipt of an error message in association with engaging in a secure WebConnect session. Please download the latest Microsoft Service Pack from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.asp.
Without the Service Pack installation, when you login to WebConnect and click on a link it is possible that you receive a pop-up box informing you that the page contains both secure and nonsecure items.
However, your WebConnect session has been, (even without the service pack) and will continue to be, secure. Your data will be encrypted when transmitted.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02

If you reset a form containing a file upload input field, the content of this input field will not be cleared.
